Over 200 Beautiful and Free Homeschool Planning Pages (Some Editable)

This post may contain affiliate links. For more information, please see my full disclosure policy.

I have over 200 beautiful and free homeschool planning pages and I have more for you on my homeschool planner page.

One of the most important parts and the largest part of your homeschool planner are the lesson planning pages.

It’s important that you have the right lesson planning pages for the way you plan to set you up for success.

When I began homeschooling, there was not anything available for me to create my own planner.

Over 200 Beautiful and Free Homeschool Planning Pages (Some Editable)

Because I had unique circumstances each year, I created the free 7 Step Homeschool Planner.

I take you Step by Step in preparing your own unique homeschool planner with my free pages.

Along the way, you have the option to pay for upgrades too.

More than 10+ years later, the free forms and customized forms have grown by the hundreds.

Free Homeschool Lesson Planning Pages

Today, I’m sharing what I call my original lesson planning templates.

Too, in this one download, you will receive 3 different types of lesson planning pages.

  1. I have 180 page original lesson planning pages.
  2. I have an editable 2 page spread for the day and week number of the year. Remember to fill in the subjects you need and print exactly what you need to.
  3. And then I have an editable 2 page spread for the Lesson Number and day. Same thing here, fill in what you need then print.

Each year your needs will change and so should your planner.

For example, one year you may be homeschooling one child and have to add your next child.

Or maybe you have a child going into middle or high school.

I have every form you need right here on my site to make your planner unique your dynamic circumstances.

Over 200 Beautiful and Free Homeschool Planning Pages (Some Editable)

However, you will want to know how to best use these planning pages and planner.

As I mentioned, I’ve used many planners and created this one after using many.

6 Features of the Free 7 Step Homeschool Planner

For example, look at these features that set apart my planner and lesson planning forms.

  1. It is a DAILY planner. There is NOT enough room for me to journal what we did on a weekly lesson planning page.
  2. The pages are NOT DATED. Why? The VERY first thing a planner can make you feel is behind when you miss a day. YOU fill in as you school. This makes homeschool adjust to life as it should.
  3. It is a 2-page spread. The other pet peeve I have besides not having enough room to write, is not having enough space to put other subjects or topics we learn about. Having the 2-page spread to write across gives me plenty of room to look at each day.
  4. it’s coil bound. NO 3 ring binders to hurt your wrist when writing AND the most important reason is to NOT keep adding forms. Organization is about creating a simple system and using it, not constantly recreate a perfect page. One of the best things is that it lays flat.
  5. You print at home using the double-sided feature. To keep the lesson planner thinner, just use regular paper and use it on both sides. My pages are all created for a two page spread. Then all you need to take it to Office Depot or other office place is to coil bind. That is unless you have a coil bind machine at home.
  6. Lastly, the two page spread leaves enough room for multiple ages. You can divide the page however you want to get all of your children (yes even large families) on one two page spread.

2023 New Year Homeschool Goals Printable (Get it Together Girl)

December 29, 2022 | 2 Comments
This post may contain affiliate links. For more information, please see my full disclosure policy.

The 2023 new year homeschool goals printable is ready. You’ll love the other forms I have for my free homeschool planner.

This new year goal printable is one I love especially because it reminds me to keep goal setting simple.

And to not fill in so many goals that I can’t reach them.

One of the best parts I like about the form is to remind myself to have Less of This.

2023 New Year Homeschool Goals Printable (Get it Together Girl)

It’s important to remind myself that some things I need to let go.

I don’t want to have pie in the sky goals, but to be reminded to homeschool and live simply.

Besides, the new physical year is a half-way point if you’re following an academic year.

And a half-way point is a good reminder.

Homeschool Goals

Also, goal setting means doing LESS OF THIS.

I’ve learned doing more means that I have to let go of something.

Different things can weigh me down. I mentioned being too critical of myself is one thing that holds me back.

Letting go each year or at least reminding myself to let go each year, I can start with a fresh slate.

Maybe this next year you need to do more of something which is productive.

Just remember that being productive means doing less of something. It means making room for it.

What are you going to be doing LESS OF this next year?

Grab the form below. It’s easy to fill out because it requires few words! Keep goal setting simple.

I have three free high school planner cover designs for your teens. Whether your teen is building his own homeschool planner, diy student planner or just wants checklists, you’ll love these choices. Check out my how to homeschool high school page for awesome tips.

These brand new homeschool high school planner covers come in three different color choices.

And if your teen is building his or her own planner, these covers would be the first step to build their planner.

3 Free High School Planner Cover Designs

In addition, I have 12 free homeschool high school planner covers on the DIY Best Student Planner pages for more choices..

Too, these mew homeschool student cover pages are full color like most all of my planner pages.

Plus, when your teens have their own planner it encourages them to learn how to manage time.

How to Use the High School Planner Covers

For example, when you don’t buy a full put together student planner, your teen has choices for each section.

Individualizing a planner is not only something we love to do, but our teen too.

Some teens prefer to only include lesson planning pages.

Other teens include time management sections and tips, goals, or even journal pages.

By planning and printing exactly the pages you want your teen will be more motivated to use it.

Also, printing these high school planner covers do not really require any special printer.

I have used the Canon PIXMA TR150 Wireless Mobile Printer for years and love it.

It’s not the most expensive and doesn’t have tons of bells and whistles.

3 Free High School Planner Cover Designs

But I like to put together my planner slowly.

So I used an inexpensive printer and take my time.

Other Homeschool Planner Sections to Add

Furthermore, look at some of these options that can make your teen’s homeschool planner unique.-

Add a two page month calendar. Not all teens plan everything on their phone. Some prefer to jot down appointments.

Too, teens may prefer to use their own lesson planning pages.

I have some unique ones which helps them to track time by 15 minutes increments.

In addition, add some growth mindset pages or pages to help plan for college or a career.

Even fun growth mindset coloring pages are a whimsical add if you have a creative teen who loves to color still.

3 Free High School Planner Cover Designs

Look at these different color combinations.

The first cover above is blue, the second one has a bit of a floral touch and the last one is a gorgeous green.

Just remember that my pages are not created to print black and white but that is your choice.

Other Planner Forms for Your Teen

Not only can your teen use my calendars in his or her planner, but any of my forms which help your teens to manage their day.

How to Make Your Own Student Planner Simple and Beautiful

June 25, 2022 | Leave a Comment
This post may contain affiliate links. For more information, please see my full disclosure policy.

There are many benefits in knowing how to make your own student planner. And creating your student’s own homeschool planner gives your student control. Besides, keeping your student organized, it allows children to plan out their day, week, and year.

Too, a student planner has many parts, but not all of them are useful. Creating your own planner allows you to craft it to your child’s unique needs.

In addition, trying to adjust to a planner created for public school students does not equal a homeschooled student’s needs.

Look at some of the parts to include in your child’s homeschool planner:

  • Front cover page.
  • Calendar pages to help them track
  • And lesson planning pages are the biggest part of printing.
  • Finally, all the fun and random pages that make your student’s planner unique.

Free Homeschool Student Planner

How to Make Your Own Student Planner Simple and Beautiful

Besides being a hard-working planner, there are many benefits to training your children to use one.

Getting past the idea that a planner is controlling is just not a mindset kids can have. I hear it all the time – I just want to be spontaneous.

How ever did a planner give the impression that every minute of your life must be planned? Oh sure, I’ve seen some plan like, but that is not how I plan or use a planner.

5 Benefits of Balanced Planning

So, look at 5 benefits.

  1. Teens have a lot they want to do, and a planner can help them to manage their time better
  2. Key to getting a lot stuffed into a day is to prioritize. Do you know how many adults are crippled by not being able to isolate what is and what isn’t important mow? Learn how to prioritize early so it’s less painful to learn as an adult.
  3. Children avoid self-imposed stress. Imagining that your day is busier than it really is way more stressing than actually doing what is on the list. It’s easier to see their schedule laid out in front of them.
  4. Even if you don’t have deadlines for your children’s project, they will eventually have them. Teach your students to have self-imposed deadlines. When children set up their own standards, they normally rise to the occasion. This is a healthy habit for adult hood and self-regulating.
  5. Your student needs to know how to say NO. When he glances at his planner and sees he has a full day planned, he is taking charge of setting limits. This promotes a healthy mental state by not accepting more than he can do.

Also, what I find is that if students can pick and choose not just the planner, but accessories it individualizes their personal planners.

What I’m saying is a student’s planner should be expressive as the student is.

In this way it becomes more than just a scheduling tool, but a way for the student to express what is important to him. Look a few cool things I rounded up below which can make it fun for your children.

Here is a fun Journal Supplies Storage Case because all kids need to journal and doodle. And these paper clips are so cute. It’s the little things that make a planner rock.

Free Printable Homeschool Student Planner

After adding a few fun pages to your child’s planner, look below at how to create your student’s homeschool planner.

Step 1. Choose a Student Planner Cover.

On my DIY Best Student Planner page, I have 12 free planner cover options and I add more as I can.

How to Make Your Own Student Planner Simple and Beautiful

Then, move on to different calendars to help your student.

Remember, I create 3 different types of calendars. Your student may need all 3 just like you. Why? Because each one serves a different purpose.

Step 2. Choose a Type of Calendar.

Depending on the age of your child, you may plan the school year or your child may be old enough to do it. Keep in mind, the first attempts will not come close to what you’re thinking.

However, the purpose of a planner is to train your child to organized habits. That begins here, but it never looks like we think it’s going to look like.

Read at my post How a Homeschool Planning Calendar is Superior to a Regular Calendar if you add a homeschool planning calendar to the planner.

In addition, look at the 3 different types of calendars your child may want to include:

  • A regular calendar. I keep the beautiful options on Step. 2. Choose Calendars/Appointment Keepers.
  • The planning your year homeschool calendar which is on Step 5a. Choose Unique forms JUST for You! Not a kazillion other people and
  • Two-Page per month calendars for tracking dates which I also call Appointment Keepers. They are also found at Step. 2. Choose Calendars/Appointment Keepers

The third part is the largest of any planner and that is the lesson planning pages for your child to note how he wants to lesson plan.

Step 3. Choose a Lesson Planning Template.

And I have 4 free beautiful lesson planning templates at DIY Best Student Planner page which you can choose for your child.

Step 4. Choose Fun Pages.
Like Random Thoughts & Teen Driving Record

Next, is one of the most fun for your student. Selecting random pages like end of year or first of year about me pages are fun. Adding note pages or pictures makes the planner individualized.

Finally, the last step is deciding a way to bind the planner.

Step 5. Bind it.

This last step may not seem important, but it is. I never encouraged my teens to use a notebook because the 3 rings got in the way of comfortable writing.

Encouraging writing in the planner is key, but it needs to be comfortable. Even using disc rings is better and coil binding is my number one preferred way of binding my kids’ planners.

Too, some parents who have a leftie can choose to have it top bound. Flipping from bottom to top is a great idea.

31 Popular and Free Homeschool Planner Printables

June 20, 2022 | 2 Comments
This post may contain affiliate links. For more information, please see my full disclosure policy.

If you’re looking for free homeschool planner printables or a complete homeschool planner, you’re sure to find one here.

A DIY planner consists of many sections like a front cover, back cover, lesson planning pages, attendance forms, evaluation forms, grading forms, calendars, and schedules.

However, what makes your planner unique are the various printables you use.

31 Popular and Free Homeschool Planner Printables

Forms which are not only beautiful but easy to use helps to keep your day organized.

So, look at the sections below for a hardworking planner.

  • front and back covers
  • inside pages
  • numerous lesson planning pages
  • attendances pages
  • evaluation pages
  • grading scales
  • high school forms
  • teacher and student schedules
  • field trip forms and

MANY more forms to make it perfect.

Why Coil Bind Makes the BEST Binder

Also, because I believe your planner is best when homemade, you need to know why coil bind works best.

One of the best reasons to use coil is that your planner lays flat.

When writing you want the planner to be as flat as possible.

I see some pictures with notebooks and while I love notebooks, they don’t even make it in my top choices.

Why? There are three huge reasons I don’t like or use notebooks.

  1. First, the O rings get in the way of writing.
  2. Second, the planner cannot bend back. That is important if you print only a semester planner and want to use part of the paper for a pad to write on.
  3. Third is that a notebook binder encourages you to keep organizing.

Organizing is about accepting a system and making it work. It’s not about constant change through the year and never using your planner. Adding or deleting pages adds to the stress. Using what you’ve created and making it work albeit not perfect is how organized people roll.

In addition, coil uses very little space on the margin for the coil to go through.

Did I mention how many different colors coils come in?

Some colors are beautiful, but most office supplies business will have basic white or transparent which are always my top choices.

Whether you buy a coil binding machine or take your planner to an office supply place, you won’t ever regret using coil.
