7 Step Homeschool Planner – Top 10 Favorites

When I started creating the 7 Step Homeschool Planner quite a few years ago and before I started sharing with you, I had no idea that other homeschoolers had the same needs that I did.

Before I share the 7 Step Homeschool Planner – Top 10 Favorites of my readers, I wanted to take a minute to explain how to use it so that you are getting the most benefit from it.

Homeschool Planner Favorites

What makes the 7 Step Homeschool Planner so UNIQUE?

The top feature of the planner is that YOU pick exactly what you need each.
Your needs change each year and so should your planner.

No downloading one huge .pdf of forms that may not be what you need for this year and laid out in way that works for somebody else. You are in control. (I love that word.)

7 Step Homeschool Planner – Top 10 Favorites

The nightmare of paying and downloading a planner that is set up to suit the needs of somebody else never works exactly the same for you.

The other top feature is that I guide you STEP by STEP through the 7 Steps or sections needed in a planner. I got you covered so that way you don’t miss something significant for the year.

I take the guesswork out of it for you.

Too, though I suggest that you put them in the order that I explain, a huge advantage to you hand picking each form is that you get to arrange the order of the sections.

Everybody has a method to their madness and your planner should speak volumes about the way you prefer to organize.

Although I could go on about how I add forms each year, give you tidbits on organizing along the way and tell you there are free forms at every step, which is another perk, the last advantage is that each planner is unique because my pages are not matchy-match.

The mix and match style keeps your planner just plain awesome. Your planner will always be unique because of the pages you choose each year

You can read some more key features of my planner on the 7 Step Homeschool Planner main page.

Without making you wait any longer, here are my readers’ Top 10 Favorites of my 7 Step Free Homeschool Planner.

Going from dazzling to totally awesome order, I started with number 10 on the list.

My teacher’s schedule gives you a glimpse of at least 3 kids at one time.

Tina Robertson Homeschool Schedule

10.  Teacher’s Schedule.  Look here on STEP 5b, Form 13.Class & Teacher Schedules to find  this form.

9. Then, you loved the planning sheet when planning for multiple children.Look here on STEP 5c, Form 2. Planning Sheet for Homeschooling Multiple Children to find this form.

And you can read about how I use the planning sheet on 5 Days Of The Benefits & Challenges of Teaching Mixed Ages Together – Day 4: Embrace Homeschooling Multiple Grades.

Look here on STEP 5c, Form 1. Community Service Record to find this form.

I love forms created out of a need because they are always the best instead of a fluff form for the sake of busy record keeping.

8. Then the community service tracker was created out of my need to track my highschoolers community service projects and apparently some of you were in need of it too.

7. Then like me, you also liked the 5 page holiday reference page in your planner. It is perfect in any planner and print off as many as you like.  You were really fond of the turquoise luv (me too.)

Look here on STEP 2 Option 5 Holiday Reference Page to find this form.

6. Then you know I am big on long range planning and goals because otherwise we just meander through homeschool with no plan. So you took it to heart too because the Long Range Planing form was number six.

Homeschool Lesson Planning Forms

5. Then you chose a back cover for one of the forms you used this year.  I think this means I need to create some more choices too since you are using it like I am.

4. Then the daily lesson pages which are undated, thank you, so we don’t feel like we are behind from the beginning came in at number four.  A lot of you are using this lesson planning set up.

3.  Then there was a real need to clearly identify which curriculum resource was needed for which term and which child.  So the Curriculum Resources page was in your top 3 choices as a way to track curriculum resources.

So excited today because I get to use my new fonts and designs to get ready for next year.  I have the Sassy n Classy Curriculum Planner Cover ready.

It is the first cover of the premium plus pages I will be doing for next year.

I felt like I needed to add an option or two for some elegance and class this year.  You can have sass and class while homeschooling.  I believe anyway.

It has a gold and black design for a bit of sophistication.

Curriculum Pages for Planner

Too, I added a quote on the curriculum planner page.

It says “there is no school equal to a decent home”.  I love it because the statement is simple, but has a lot of meaning.  A gentle reminder throughout the year of why we are homeschooling.

Guess what? You can get this Sassy n Classy cover for only .99 cents.

Grab it here or grab it on my main shop page.

I get pumped up at the end of the year when I can start creating the curriculum planner covers early because I love for you to have tons of options when creating your unique 7 step homeschool planner.

The truth of it is too I get plain giddy when I can add new fonts and designs to the growing free collection of planner covers.

Curriculum Pages for Planner

Adding the new freebies gets me excited about my curriculum planner too because a new year can mean a new design.

Today, I have the next new keeper cover which I named Summer Loving.

It reminds me of those summer days when I was a teenager that I spent at the beach with my hot pink tote in hand.

Grab this free summer loving curriculum planner cover for your homeschool planner cover!

I thought I was all that with all my matchy-match bright colors.  I was one of those kinds of girls.

Download Summer Loving Cover here.

I always create each cover just like it was me using it even if I mix and match covers throughout the year.

Remember the keeper covers, which are on the STEP 1 page are on my site year after year and I call them keeper covers because they are not dated covers.

This means you can pick and choose different covers each year, or every 6 months or each month.  Okay, okay, I LOVE my planner!

Of course, I always add new free designs each year. No boring planning here and NO one huge download one-size-fits-all planner.

Not So Serious Curriculum Planner Cover

December 7, 2014 | 2 Comments
This post may contain affiliate links. For more information, please see my full disclosure policy.

Feeling a bit whimsical today and some giddiness because the end of year gets me in an organizing kind of mood, I created the newest curriculum cover.

The not so serious curriculum planner cover is a bit playful, but I love taking my time as I create each new cover for next year.

I wish at times I could crank out three our four choices for you at one time, but that is not how I create my organizational printables.  I create one at time for me to fall in love with and for you to fall in love with too.

To completely change the subject and update you about my planner, but I think I’m going to have to buy a three ring  binder for my curriculum planner because I am having a hard time finding a coil binding service that I like.

I found one, but I am not sure they can bind everything that I want.

This is the first year that I have not had a binder for part of the year.  For one reason because we moved here to Ecuador, but the other reason is that Office Depot and Office Max are non-existent here.

Anyway, long story short, it got me in a playful sort of mood because though I prefer coil bind always, a three ring binder will be a fun change.

Thinking about all of that gave me a bit of inspiration for the newest curriculum cover.

Too, I have one more bit of exciting news or well it’s exciting for me!! I am on facebook now!!

Remember a year ago, we left facebook.  Part of the reason was that we were experiencing growth with both my blog and New Bee and had to take time to update my blog and re-evaluate.

I have two completely different audiences and I knew that posting things for my blog on New Bee Facebook was sometimes confusing.  Now we have 2 facebook pages.

One is for New Bee and one is for my blog.  Click below to follow my facebook page.

Be sure you scoot by my brand spanking new facebook page and give me some love so I’ll be motivated to post and share over there!!

7 Step Homeschool Planner Free Library Resources List

October 29, 2014 | 2 Comments
This post may contain affiliate links. For more information, please see my full disclosure policy.

It’s killing me! This is the first year that I have not been able to coil bind my 7 Step Homeschool Planner because each piece of luggage was perfectly weighed so that we could bring them to South America.

It came down to a choice between a math book for Tiny and my homeschool planner to pack in our bag.  You know which one I had to pack.   I did find some other things here, but first I have to let you know that I have another form ready and it is the 7 Step Homeschool Planner Free Library Resources List.

I am so excited about this newest form because I have a whole host of forms that I slowly work on as I get wired excited as the homeschool planner grows with more options each year.

Before I tell you about the Library Resources List though I wanted to share a few pictures of what I saw the other day walking down the streets here in Ecuador.

The sight of it was enough to make an organizing loving gal’s heart go pitter-patter.

I saw this office supply storefront and just knew I had found a place to do coil binding.

Sigh. . . no, but of course they had so many other “goodies” there that I couldn’t bring with me in a bag when we first got here.  I  knew I just had to step inside and take a peek.

Office Supplies Cuenca Office Supplies Cuenca 1

The inside was enough to make me not breathe.  I have been too long without my organizing pretties.

I am still on the hunt for a coil binding place, but for now, I have visited this place each week.  I didn’t want to buy too many things before we move into our new home, but I am over the top excited about finding this big place.

It’s the small things you take for granted like coil binding until you don’t have them.  But then again, I am loving the adventure of finding new things.

Enough about me.  This is about you today because I am excited to share a Library Resources List.

You know how I feel about creating forms for the Free 7 Step Homeschool Planner.  I just create as I go along and take my time with each form.

I am a stickler for correct names of forms too.  So titles of forms matter.  The title of this form is “Library RESOURCES” and not Library Books.

Most of the time we can borrow so many more things from a library other than just books.  For example, at our library we can borrow DVDS too.

So I used a more broad term to include other media you may borrow from the library.

Then the next thing I did was to divide the sections by 10 items.

Sometimes we will pick up a lot of items at the library and sometimes it is just a few.  But hopefully, with the sections divided by 10 items, which means that 30 titles fit on one page, it will help you to see at a glance how many items are not returned yet.

So the captions across the top are titles, due date and then a column to mark when you have returned the item.

Plus I like things separated a bit when I am writing on my planner instead of everything running together.

Today, I have one color choice, but you know I love color options.  So you know what that means, right?  More color options coming!

After all, no one curriculum planner should ever be matchy-match.  It should be unique, like you! Couldn’t resist a bit of sugary sweetness.  Okay, that’s enough.

Hope you like it!
