Why Use A Fall Season Simple Busy Book With Young Learners

Although busy books have gained popularity over the years, I still don’t like the name of them.

However, I am focusing on why I do like them and how they can benefit you especially when you have multiple ages of children to teach.

First, the activities included in my fall season busby book are about meaningful learning. And they are not just keeping a young child busy while we move on to something supposedly more deserving of our attention.

Next, look at some books that can be used to discuss the fall season with your little learners.

Why Use A Fall Season Simple Busy Book With Young Learners

Now, look at some reasons why you want to use a fall busy book in your homeschool.

WHY USE A BUSY BOOK WITH YOUNG LEARNERS

There are many reasons why I love using a busy book but the first is because it encourages independence.

1. PROMOTE INDEPENDENT LEARNING

We’re not trying to treat them like pint sized adults meaning they need our interaction 1:1. But by giving them their own materials and free play time they develop the love of learning without our constant supervision.

Open play learning time is essential.

Then another reason I love them is for their guidance for the parent.

2. SERVE AS A GUIDE FOR THE HOME EDUCATOR

It’s not always understanding what a young child is capable of but a guide can serve as a guide in how to both teach preschool skills and about the topic the busy book is about.

For example, this is a fall season book, but I have a winter, spring, summer and 50 states book which give you a practical starting point for your child.

3. LITERACY IS BUILT AND ENCOURAGED THROUGH NATURAL LEARNING

Also, another reason I love them is that you can encourage new words in a natural way. For example, they will hear words and understand them when learning about the fall season or winter.

Sleet, hail, frozen tundra and names of states become part of every day learning instead of learning them in isolation or worst through tons of worksheets.

Finally, look at thee other busy book.
