Homeschool Quarter Planning Form – Free UNIQUE 7 Step Planner

August 10, 2016 | 11 Comments
This post may contain affiliate links. For more information, please see my full disclosure policy.

Today, i have free homeschool quarter planning forms. Grab other gorgeous planning pages on my Homeschool Planner page.

You know I’ve said before, it takes me sometimes several months thinking about a homeschool form for the 7 Step Homeschool Planner before I actually release it to you.

The reason why is because my forms are created out of need as I go throughout my many years of homeschooling.

Homeschool Quarter Planning Form - Build Your UNIQUE 7 Step Planner @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus

4 Homeschool Quarter Planning Forms

This one, the homeschool quarter planning form, I actually have been thinking about for a year. And I am so OVER THE TOP excited to share it with you today!

Let me tell you first how I set it up, how I will be using it this year and why I needed it last year too.

How to Use the Homeschool Quarter Planning Form - Build Your UNIQUE 7 Step Planner @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus

Look at how I created this newest from.

  • It’s divided into 4 quarters or 4 pages with three month calendars on each page.
  • It has a box at the top right to pen in whether you follow an academic or a physical year calendar.
  • So that the calendars can be used over and over, pen in the day of week so your calendar is current year ready. Note: (Not that you would do this, but remember the first of the month doesn’t always begin on Monday or Sunday. I know you know that, but you’d be surprised how giddy you can get when filling in a new form.)
  • Because you can choose when to begin your homeschool year, you determine which months are your first quarter, your second quarter and etc. Just put an X, highlight the quarter or place a check at the top right section. I love the flexibility of determining which months are which quarters.
  • On the calendar highlight or circle the dates you want to reach certain objectives, goals or projects and
  • then use the lined box to the right of the calendar to write down your thoughts, plans or objectives.
  • At the bottom of the page or the end of the quarter is a place for evaluation.

Homeschool Quarter Planning Forms

Though I have two other objectives form which are kept on Step 3. Choose Goals/Objectives I ran into small problems that set me back when planning with broad strokes.

Because this is my third high school teen, I know that our year needs to not only be varied, but focused.

Dividing the quarter planning forms up, I can focus on one or more skills or subjects for a specified period of time.

The other months I don’t have to plan so detailed. These new forms can use them in a variety of ways.

  • One or more can be used when you need to plan for a short term or three months.
  • If you have a high school teen, you may need to plan all of the quarters more precisely.
  • If you have an older child, but the rest of your children are younger, this allows you to plan for your oldest child in a more detailed way.
  • If you want to plan with fine details for all of your children, no matter their age, each form allows you a place to write down your plan.
  • The best part is that you can print off as many as you need. You can print one for each child, one quarter for all your children or print all of them for your children.

I have just started putting together my planner and will be not binding it for a while yet because I am still undecided about some things I want in it, but this is not one of them.

Free 2016 to 2017 Year Round Homeschool Planning Form

2016 to 2017 Year Round Homeschool Planning Schedule. Begin building your free 7 Step Homeschool Planner. Not another like it! Color luv color scheme @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus

Getting prepared to speak at the convention in Atlanta has me so giddy, I can hardly prepare my planning forms. Well almost, because it would take an act of nature to keep me from getting my forms ready for the 7 Step Homeschool Planner. I always manage to make time for them.

Today, I have the second color choice and I luv it so I named it Color Luv because of my obsession for color. I hope you find color luv addicting too. My form is the free 2016 to 2017 Year Round Homeschool Planning form.

Keep in mind, even if you choose not to homeschool year round, this planning form, which is VERY different from a calendar will still help you to track and plan your homeschool year.

I have all 12 months on it, which means you can start on any month that you begin homeschooling and move forward to plan your year.

Remember, I have plain calendars (okay, they are not so plain, but I mean just calendars) on Step. 2. Choose Calendars/Appointment Keepers. The calendars and 2 page spread appointment keeper are for appointments and have more room for writing.

The form today is to plan your homeschool year with days off, teacher planning days and holidays to take off. It gives you a glimpse of your homeschool year.

Because this form is not a calendar but more of a planning tool, I keep it each year at Step 5a. Choose Unique forms JUST for You!

If you need to see how to use it go to that step Step 5a. Choose Unique forms JUST for You! to look at my sample copy.

Download Here Free 2016 to 2017 Color Luv Year Round Homeschool Planning Form.

By the way, here is the other free color choice, Powder Puff of the 2016 to 2017 Year Round Homeschool Planning form if you want a second color in your planner or you may want to use one to print off like a draft to plan/jot on it and use another color to print and put in your planner for your actual schedule that you will follow. That is what I do.

2016 to 2017 Academic Homeschool Calendar (Royal Color Scheme)

2016 to 2017 Academic Year Royal 2 Pages at a Glance @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus

I always love to give you a couple of color choices each year. So today I have the 2016 to 2017 academic homeschool calendar in a royal scheme color.Word Art Academic Calendar Royal

2016 to 2017 2 page per month academic calendar 1

2016 to 2017 2 page per month academic calendar 2

2016 to 2017 2 page per month academic calendar 3

2016 to 2017 2 page per month academic calendar 4

I was moved by this color scheme because it is a tribute to my new updated look on my blog. Did you notice? Do you like it?

I love these colors and always use various hues of them in my printables somewhere throughout the years.

Curriculum Pages for Planner

Too, you know my addiction to fonts. That is just ongoing and I don’t deny my hoarding of them. So I love using them on forms that I hope will make you happy like these calendars do me.

I print off both color schemes for the current academic year to use in my planner (you know I try to keep the forms affordable) and this year don’t forget I have calendars for the next school year, 2017 to 2018.

That way if you purchase them now, you get a good two years use out of the 2017 to 2018 calendar.

Keep in mind all of these options are kept here at Step. 2. Choose Calendars/Appointment Keepers.

Now, I have 2 page calendars for the current academic year, the following academic year, the current physical year and the following academic year. Yippppppeeeee.

This just means more options for you.

10 Things to Include in Your Homeschool Planner – Because Paper Planners Rock!!

March 8, 2016 | 4 Comments

10 Things to Include In Your Homeschool Planner - paper planners rock @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus
10-Things-to-Include-In-Your-Homeschool-Planner-paper-planners-rock-

{Note: This is my ultimate unit study planner in the photo above with multiple cover choices.}

Homeschoolers by nature are do it yourself type of people and the homeschool planners we use are no different. I am pretty fussy about mine, which is why I created the free 7 step homeschool planner. And today, in sharing 10 things to include in your homeschool planner, it’s all about making your planner unique and as creative as you want it to be.

Your Homeschool Needs Change Each Year  – So Should Your Planner – Build It!

Look at some of these ideas and the best thing is that most of these things below are free here on my site.

1. Field Trip Tracking/Planning Forms.

Whether you want to track field trips for the year or need to plan them for a group, grab these forms.

Grab the field trip reference chart too so that when planning you stretch yourself to think of places (other than the museum or zoo) outside of your comfort zone.

field trip tracking july to june TDHP 6.1.2013

2. Inspirational Quotes.

Inspirational quotes are tiny power packing nuggets of energy.

They give me a boost when I feel like falling off the homeschool wagon. Grab some of them to sprinkle throughout your planner and use it for the front and/or back of your planner.

Free Quotes for homeschool planner back cover @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus

3. Planning Schedule.

I say this often, but there is no need to try to plan your homeschool year by writing in tiny boxes on a calendar or using the same calendar where you write down appointments.

School Year Around Planning Form @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus

You need to have a separate page where you keep your school schedule for the year and track it too. You can grab one from the link above (or Step 5a) or grab this current one above from my blog category for organizational printables, which has all my current ones.

4. Calendars, of course, BUT pretty ones.

No need to give up style when you homeschool. Pretty colors for calendars, please and I have them.

You can choose from academic or physical year calendars each year and I normally give you about two or three color choices each.

Free Academic and Physical Year Calendars @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus

5. 2 Page Spread Calendar – Appointment Keeper

The calendar above is for reference, but of course there is no way I am writing around those tiny numbers.

I create and use the two page spread calendar appointment keepers each year and keep all appointments on those pages.

By the way, I have the new year up already, which you can get on that same page.

2016 2 page per month physical year - Dreaming @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus

6. Holiday List – 5 Years Worth

I love this page because it is a great reference for long term planning and I update it each year. I have several of them spread out throughout my planner so I can access it quickly.

Holidays Listed 2015 to 2019 passion pink 300x375
Holidays Listed 2015 to 2019 @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus. Over 200 Free Curriculum Planner Downloads and Growing 300x

7. Important Dates.

Everyone tracks differently and I like to keep one area where I can look at a glance at important dates, whether they are blog related, personal or homeschool.

It’s just the way my brain thinks.

Home Management Binder amd Free Important Dates Printables @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus

8. Lesson Planning Pages – well of course, BUT . . .

Lesson planning pages come in MANY different forms and I have seen many of them. However, I prefer room to write and prefer daily lesson planning pages.

Undated pages, that is too. Just fill in the current date and move on to the next page instead of feeling like you are behind if you can’t school a day or two because life happens.

I have many different choices of lesson planning pages here on my site.

The link above is my main page with free lesson planning pages where you can learn about the basic differences, but I also have my unit study planner and glam it up pages lesson planning pages.

9. Journal pages

Then plenty of places to write  down your thoughts, funny moments and yes even doodling is allowed in planners.

Grab plenty of journal pages because I have so many of them.

10. Swoon worthy DIY (yes they’re editable) tabs.

Then because I made my curriculum planner a whole DIY project, even the little things matter like tabs.

I hope this list gives you an idea of the small, but practical and beautiful things to add to your own homeschool planner.

Are you ready to start building your own homeschool planner?

Step 1. Choose a Pretty Front/Back Cover

Step. 2. Choose Calendars/Appointment Keepers

Step 3. Choose Goals/Objectives

Step 4. Choose Lesson Planning Pages Right For You!

Step 5a. Choose Unique forms JUST for You!

Step 5b. Choose MORE Unique Forms JUST for You!
