I have a free Guatemala lapbook and resources today for a fun study about Guatemala. Too, on my Homeschool Lapbooks – Powerful Tools For Mastery Learning page you can find more free homeschool lapbooks. Also, look at my Meso-America page for more ideas.

Located in Central America, Guatemala is a country filled with towering volcanoes, tropical rainforests and ancient Maya cities.

Guatemala is especially interesting because you can study ancient history, geography and Indigenous cultures. Combine it with my Meso America unit study to learn about ancient history.

Also, Guatemala shares borders with Mexico, Belize, Honduras, and El Salvador. The capital of Guatemala is Guatemala City and the country’s official language is Spanish.

Too, learning about volcanoes make for a fun science study and Guatemala has fascinating volcano landscapes.

In addition, add some of these books to your study.

Every person who lived at that time had their own experience. But the truth lies in the places where these stories overlapped. It was from that rich soil that Tomasa's story grew.
