Free 2017-2018 Year Round Homeschool Planning Form

2017 to 2018 Year Round Homeschool Planning Schedule. Begin building your free 7 Step Homeschool Planner. Not another planner like it!Today, I have the first color choice for the new school year. It is the 2017 to 2018 Year Round Homeschool Planning form and I named this color scheme Sea.

Remember that I create both academic and planing calendars. Though they may seem similar they are not.

When you take a closer look, you will see they each have a different purpose. The form I’m sharing today is for you to PLAN your school year and track the number of days and weeks you’re kids are doing school.

I have all 12 months on it, which means you can start on any month that you begin homeschooling and move forward to plan your year.

Plain calendars (okay, they are not so plain) are just for noting dates and for your reference. I don’t create them to write appointments on them OR to track your school.

Plain calendars are always on Step. 2. Choose Calendars/Appointment Keepers. The 2 page spread appointment keepers are for appointments and have more room for writing.

The form today is to plan your homeschool year with days off, teacher planning days and holidays to take off. It gives you a glimpse of your homeschool year. Plan and track your school year on it.

Because this form is not a calendar but more of a planning tool, I keep it each year at Step 5a. Choose Unique forms JUST for You!

If you need to see how to use it go to that step Step 5a. Choose Unique forms JUST for You! to look at my sample copy.

I hope you like this first choice. I have two more coming and I especially love when I can get it to you early.

2017 New Year New Goals Free Printable (Get It Together)

2017 New Year New Goals Printable @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus

For several years I have updated my More of This and Less of This free printable. And this year is no different.

Today, I have ready the 2017 New Year New Goals Free Printable.

I love this form because it not only reminds me to keep goal setting simple and not pen in a lot of goals so that I can reach them, but more importantly, I remind myself to have Less of This.

It’s important to remind myself that some things I need to let go. I didn’t want to just have pie in the sky goals, but to be reminded to homeschool and live simply.

I can only do that when I let go of things that are not working either at the end of the year.

For some years, the goals have been to be less critical of myself, or to be less harder on my kids or to be less judgmental.

I hope you enjoy the form!

Curriculum Pages for Planner

Don’t forget this is JUST a calendar for you to glance at the school year and make a few notes at the bottom.

I also make a planning your school calendar which gives you room to plan your school year.

It is found always on Step 5a. Choose Unique forms JUST for You.

This is a PLANNING calendar from Step 5a. So you want to get BOTH types of calendars.

Also, this calendar today is not for writing appointments because you can grab a huge 2 page spread for noting appointments on Step 2. Choose Calendar/Appointment Keepers. The current 2 page appointment keepers are kept there.

Look at a picture below of a 2 page spread calendar, which gives you room to write appointments.

I hope these pictures make it more clear that the calendar I have today is just that. It is perfect for glancing at the year and for reference in your planner.

Save it and print off as many as necessary when you print your planner.

I always have two or more spread throughout my planner. I put one close to my lesson planning section, one close to the front of my planner and sometimes I even put on in the back so I don’t have to hunt very long for it.

DIY Undated 12 Month Calendar | Organized Planner

I created this diy undated 12 month calendar so you can use it in multiple type of planners. Too, look at my Homeschool Planner for more free beautiful forms.

Remember this? I loved sharing my free printables and tips for my home management binder.

But it’s in need of an update.

It’s been about four years since I’ve updated it and a lot of things have changed.

DIY Undated 12 Month Calendar | Organized Planner

The first thing that I need to update is the diy undated 12 month calendar.

The last set I did to use in the home management binder was hard to use.

I’m not sure what I was thinking when I created it.

Home Management Binder @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool PLus

I must have had an out of body experience because it was so hard to read.

Of course, like I said that was almost four years ago and my experience in printables has grown tremendously (thank goodness).

Today, I have updated this set of undated monthly calendars because it is the one I prefer to use in my home management binder.

I prefer to use this set because I can add two or three years of the same month in my binder, which is a huge motivator for me as I track and plan our family life and look over the past year, current year and next year.

DIY Undated 12 Month Calendar @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus

By simply filling out the calendars as needed, I have a ready made calendar at my finger tips.

However, the other thing too that unnerves me about writing in planners and calendars is that I’m a little obsessed with having lines to write on when I add a date or track information on my planner.

DIY Undated 12 Month Calendar | Organized Planner

So not only did I make the calendar pages easier to read, but I added lines for writing.

Too, for my home management binder, I wanted a full page to write on and I also added a place at the bottom of each month for note taking.

Of course you can use these fee calendars on my

  • free student planner,
  • my free 7 Step Homeschool Planner
  • or my free Home Management Binder.

31 Days of Dinner Ideas for December With Linked Recipes for Busy Homeschool Nights

December 31 Days of dinner ideas @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus
Can I hear a drum roll? We made it! You stuck with me for a year long project that will give us LOTS in return. This month is the last month for the year long series and I have the 31 days of dinner ideas for December with linked recipes for busy homeschool nights ready!

Back in January, I encouraged you to come along and menu plan with me by menu planning for 31 days instead of 7 or 14 days. Too, by focusing on your weak area, you’re using menu planning to help you, not overwhelm you. Think of which meal brings you the most stress and plan it only. Don’t over organize.

For example, I chose dinner ideas because it normally is the weak area for most of us. At the end of the homeschool day we’re tired and need dinner to practically make itself. Right?

Even though we still have to prepare dinner, it can be so much more engaging and enjoyable knowing ahead of time what we will make and also knowing that we have every ingredient on hand.

In addition, by menu planning longer than 7 or 14 days, it gives you time to focus on more important things like lesson planning and homeschooling.

Though it make take an extra few minutes to plan for 31 days, I reap so much more. A few tips I remembered as I planned is that I stopped looking ahead in the month to see when I had field trips planned, when the Mr. was going to be off work and if we had a co-op planned.

Simply listing 31 dinner ideas doesn’t mean I cook each one in order, it does mean that I can select which ones I want to cook for the week and which ones I want to skip or substitute.

The bottom line is that my brainstorming work for dinner ideas, which is the hardest part is already done for me.

Did I mention 12 months of dinner ideas and about 371 recipes for the year in my recipe book eases homeschool stress?

It’s so worth taking time each month to do this and instead of stressing out over this, we simply made a plan each month this year.

Now, we will reap the benefits all next year and the year after and so on because we have a plan in place. In the future, you can substitute recipes and that is easier to do than trying to think of 371 dinner ideas.

Did you benefit from this? Did you grab each month? I have a few months in the beginning of the year that I need to link, but you have all these ideas at your fingertips.

What other year long projects would you like us to do together?
