Objectives at a Glance – Free Homeschool Planning Form

I had a problem. I didn’t like any of the objectives at a glance that I had on my 7 step homeschool planner because they were all too comprehensive.

I can’t believe I am saying that because I have spent years refining them, using them and benefiting from them.

This year, I knew it was going to be different homeschooling just one kid now.  And I needed a form that would allow me to jot down objectives generally instead of so specific.

Curriculum Pages for Planner

Too, I loved the layout of the free Year at a Glance form I shared earlier because it allowed me to plan with wider strokes and not so detailed.

It was the exact same thing I was wanting to put in my new Glam It Up planner package.

So guess what? I made another Objectives at a Glance to match my free Year at a Glance form that is basic but practical.

Free Objectives at a Glance Form @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus

Of course, I loved the fact that it blended nicely with my glam it up package.

Objectives at a Glance in Broad Strokes

Not only listing objectives by month will be easier to look at, but I am finding out managing one child is going to bring on some whole new forms as I plod along.

Whether you have one child or homeschooling multiple children this year and are wanting to plan less detailed and more basic, this two page spread will be perfect for you.

It has a box for each month to allow you to track objectives by month and the best part is you can see them at a glance.

You know I love ya and have held this form back for you, my loyal follower. I am ever so grateful that you loyally follow and I will always have a special place for you to download it.

I luv my followers and make it special for them here when I can.

This freebie is a subscriber only freebie!

Homeschool Lesson Planning Pages – Glam Update!

April 28, 2015 | 10 Comments
This post may contain affiliate links. For more information, please see my full disclosure policy.

I am so excited about the new fabulous look for the homeschool lesson planning pages that I have been working on.

I just had to give you a sneak peek of what I will be releasing soon if you are preparing to make your homeschool planner.

It has been quite a few years since I used my original classic layout and it has been great for many years.

Too, I have been wanting to update my original classic look for a while. However, during the years I had so many other forms I needed like for high school and other subjects that I had to put this on my long term goal list.

I am tickled to be able to tackle this project this year.

A few updates to the original classic are:

  • It will all now be in color. Oh yes, yippee.
  • I have spaced the writing lines more evenly.
  • Too, I have added columns to the content area in case you want to break down and jot your notes for each subject in a more organized way.
  • I left a space at the bottom for notes in case you wanted to expand on one subject or if you just wanted to jot down some comments.
  • At the top right, I added 4 boxes that can be used for a quick list or for a to-do column. In addition, if you live in a place that requires more stringent record keeping, the columns allow for you to track by weeks.
  • At the far right at the top, I kept the lesson number but made them bigger.
Also, every 5 lesson plans, I changed the color of the Lesson Plan Numbers so that you could easily see when you covered a typical school week of 5 days.
  • Under Lesson Plan, I put a space for the date if you want to pen it in.

Glam It Up Homeschool Lesson Planning Pages @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus

A few things I did not change because they have worked timelessly over the years are:

  • It is still ONE lesson per PAGE planner. I do not care for weekly planners that take up one or two pages when I need more room to write. Weekly planners have their place, but in homeschooling, I find we need more room.
  • It is still undated. This means it will be a ONE time purchase.
  • Too, you are never behind on an undated planner because you school the days that fit your family. Just fill in the dates as you go.
  • It still has a space to use with 3 kids. Again, not because I only like three kids, but that seems to fit the space best. Remember, if you have younger children, you can easily divide off the sections to include them. The workload will vary with the ages of your children, so two children could easily share one space.
  • The basic subjects that are the same year after year are filled in too.

I will be offering it as a package, which means I have some other goodies that will come with it.

I hope to have it ready by next month as I really dawdle when I make forms because I want them to be not only beautiful but powerful to use.

I can’t wait to share it with you.

Hugs and love ya,

Free 2015 to 2016 Year Around School Planning Page Jet-Set Color

March 26, 2015 | 2 Comments

Spring is here, the weather is beautiful here in Ecuador and that means I always have an itch for organizing.

I am on the last stretch (not really, but it sounds good) of updating our forms for the 7 Step Homeschool Planner to be ready for the 2015-2016 year.

Today, I have the second color choice for the free 2015 to 2016 year around school planning page, which I named jet-set.  It just looks so cosmopolitan.

Curriculum Pages for Planner

Too, I know that many new faces are following me each day, so I wanted to be sure you understood the difference between my calendars AND this planning schedule, which has a calendar.

I want to be sure you get the greatest benefit in using my forms.

One reason that I don’t use plain calendars for planning my school is because I prefer to use the 2 Page Appointment Keeper because it is a 2 page spread and has bigger boxes for noting dates and appointments.

The form I have today is for you to track and plan your homeschooling weeks and days.

Though you don’t have to use it this way, I made it year around because a lot of us do homeschool year around.

At the end of the form, it has a comprehensive key so that you can calculate your actual days and weeks of homeschooling.

I love doing this each year because it helps me to see how much more I am doing than I actually think I am doing.

Sample How to use Homeschool Year Around Schedule

I also am a highlighter type of girl, so I highlight weeks I plan on schooling and then the area under each month is the place for you to write in your actual days of schools and how many weeks you have schooled.

Year Around Scheduling

I am telling you when you use this form, you are not constantly worried if you are “doing enough” because you have been tracking your school days throughout the year.

I just wanted to be sure you knew the difference between the calendars, which include several choices each year too and these forms, which I call Year Around School Planning Forms.

The word “planning” in this form helps you to see what to with this form and how to use it.

I have the first color choice available here at Free 2015 to 2016 Year Around School Planning Page , which I did more simple if you prefer less color work on your printer.

However, if you have a slight obsession with color luv, then grab the jet-set color today.

I have one more color choice too coming because you know I need several color options too.

Free Academic School Calendar 2015-2016

March 12, 2015 | 2 Comments
This post may contain affiliate links. For more information, please see my full disclosure policy.

Today, I have ready the third color choice for the free academic school calendar 2015-2016.

With spring coming soon, I know some of you are itching to put together your 7 Step Homeschool Planner so I added the third color called Sunrise.

You know too each year somewhere I am going to have some orange luv.

2015 - 2016 Sunrise Academic School Year Calendar @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus Collage

 Download Sunrise Color Choice Here.

Free Academic School Calendar 2015-2016

In addition to preparing several color choices for the academic calendars each year, I prepare another set of pages that look like a free academic calendar but there is a very fine and important difference.

Curriculum Pages for Planner

The calendar today is not for planning or noting school weeks but it is just a reference.

One of the color choices for this calendar will go in the front of my planner and sometimes I put one in the back or closer to my planning pages also.

These general academic school calendars are kept on STEP 2 Choose Calendars/Appointment Keepers because they are just that, a helpful calendar.

The general academic school calendars, which I call Year Around Planning Schedule, have a planning section and place for noting school weeks and are kept on STEP 5A. Unique Forms Just For You because they are used for planning and tracking school weeks.

Hope you like this third choice, look  below at the other two I created for this coming school year.

Hugs and you know I love ya,
