Pre-Homeschool Year Planning
Purpose: I print this page to go in the front of my planner for this year and a blank one at the end to get ready for the next year. You don’t need to bind this in your planner to start using it. I use it to help me get ready for the new year. I then bind in my planner. If you want to read more details about how I use it, go here to 4 Pre-Homeschool Planning Pages.

Editable for Family Name – Curriculum Planner Cover
Note: Please read the description carefully for each cover. As I create each one, I will specify the character limitation on each one. Please be sure your family name falls within that character limitation. Too, I have noted which free fonts need to be downloaded and installed on your computer. If you don’t install the font I recommend, then a default font will be used on your computer and your name may or may not fit on the line. Because I can’t give a refund after you have been given access to my printables, though I want you one happy jumping customer, please read the details carefully.
Here is a sample so you can see the free font I paired with a classic or paid font.

I have decided at the last minute (July) to homeschool my pre-schoolers 4yr old and 21mnth old. Plan on starting August 24th. Not stressing over the 21mnth old baby girl, but freaking out about my 4yr old son. Is a curriculum planner something i should’ve started working on in May. Am I too late to start him in August??

Yadaira,
Oh how I wish I could just give you a hug and SAY BREATHE!!.. Without knowing you and where you live, it is hard to give advice but I can tell you this:
1) Who came up with that start day for your school? Following the public school schedule is NOT necessary. Get off the public school treadmill. Breathe and find out the date that works BEST for your family.
2.) Hear my heart: He is only 4. That means ABC’s and 1,2,3 and you can learn right along side him.
3.) Instead of focusing and stress on curriculum, grab yourself some education. By taking time to arm yourself with how to start, you don’t start, then get burn out. Have you watched my free workshop? Here is the link to my free workshop at my other website.

It will be OKAY….stop trying to think public school and find out first when you want to start?
Choose a day better for you? How about starting September 10? That is better!!
You are not trying to keep pace and step in sync with public school. Have you gone through any of my other workshops?

Again, a GREAT BIG HUG and breathe for some peace and calm and tranquility. Do not start your journey off with such stress!
You will find just about all your answers here and on my free 31 blog boot camp for new homeschoolers at the top of this page.

As I am looking at the cover page I have chosen I am trying to decide what to put in for my dates to remember…What are your suggestions?
@ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus says
Great question Savannah!
This can be a mix of both academic and/or personal dates or just academics. I tend to put both.
Example:
First day of school
Date for last day of your school year
Midway or midterm date
Special Observances
Special Occasions – Anniversary,etc.
Testing Dates? If you live in country, state requires it OR if you want to set aside date to
An extra special field trip that needs to be remembered
Graduation Day
Vacation weeks
Day to begin a special workout routine
Remember this is YOUR planner and there are no rules. The only rule is to make it work for YOU! Note things that are important to you during that year.
I hope this helps…
Savannah says
Thanks it does! I was just trying to think of anything and everything that I could put there and decide what was most important to us! 🙂

Just wondering if you had any covers that were more “plain”? I have a teen boy who really doesn’t want much, something in black and white would probably suit him. I could just print something out but thought you might have something.
Thanks!! And thanks for your hard work on this and your other projects!!
@ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus says
Hi Cynthia,
Let me tell you, I hear YA! I have teen boys the same way. A tinge of color at times and they scream “girly girl” lol
So I wasn’t sure if you were asking about these planner covers on this page or my student planner covers. I didn’t know if you knew I have Student Planner and matter of fact too fun, but I was in the middle of posting this morning when I got this.
But I am bringing over the Student Planner pages from my website and I have several teen boy “approved” covers on that page. One is very basic and has subjects though not totally black and white. I am not sure if read my blog post today as I just posted it, but here it is and the covers with my explanation.

I hope you can find something in all the 15 downloads…lol I still have much to bring over here.. You are so welcome and thanks for being here..
