5 Year Holiday List @ Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus

Today, I’m updating the 5 year holidays list to include the years 2016 to 2020. The permanent page for the 5 year holiday list is kept on Step. 2. Choose Calendars/Appointment Keepers.

Curriculum Page for Planner

This has been one of the most handy reference sheets I have used in my 7 step homeschool planner, blog planner, unit study planner and my free student planner.

Basically, this one page (or two if you want both color choices) fits in any planner.

I created this handy reference page because everybody plans differently and having a heads up notice of holidays and observances helps you plan not only your homeschool day, but to plan your year.

In addition, another way I use it is to plan my long-term homeschool schedule. Having one page to look at 5 years worth of holidays and observances keeps the pages and calendars I need in my planner to a minimum.

Also, some people like to write their own dates on their calendars, like I do.

The bottom line is that this one page holiday page is streamlined and can be used for planning short-term or long-term.

Home Management Binder and Free Important Dates Printable

This is the first time in a long time I have not had some kind of home management binder, but then again moving here to South America with only two suitcases and not all the baggage (I’m on a corny pun roll) you have with owning a house, it has been a nice change.

However, we are now settling down to our new home and finding new doctors for the Mr. and there are now things to start keeping up with in our new house as we get the swing of living here in Ecuador.

So I am excited about setting up my binder again.  Today I’m sharing home management binder and free important dates printables because I want to slowly set back up my binder.

Too, not all of my printables have made their home to my main page for my home management binder (this is my sister site) that I have on New Bee Homeschooler so I wanted to be sure you got all of them that I have created so far.

I think I still prefer just a plain white notebook like I had back home in Texas and I have several color cover choices on the Home Management Binder page at the New Bee Homeschool site.

Free Home Management Binder Printables

This printable, which I loved and have been using didn’t make its way to the main home management binder page either.

The printable is an annual date and events page.

Don’t you find that the dates you need to remember for special occasions seems to grow longer each year? Maybe not every year but sometimes it needs to be updated.

Whether I need to buy gifts, plan for a party or just send a card, I like seeing the annual dates at a glance.

When creating this form, I fussed a little bit more over this form than usual.

I have shared dramatic stories of my blogger printables and curriculum planner about how I use them for several months before I release them, right? I do this because I do use my forms and I know if they don’t work for me then they may not work for you.

My original form didn’t have a line between the date and the event. It bothered me because it all seemed to run together.

I like this one much better because I have a place to write the day and then a slight separation before I write the event. The little things on forms means a lot to me.

Home Management Binder + Printable Bank Accounts Information Page

Before I had all the mayhem from the end of the school year for most folks, I was still working on my Home Management Binder. I probably should say I am updating it little by little this year instead of making it just a spring project. One reason is that I have more forms that I want to go in it. So  instead of overwhelming you  me, I had decided this year I would add the forms slowly. Too, I have the new cover and have slowly been updating the forms to match it.

One form I figured out I needed right away was a bank accounts information form. This new form has space enough for 4 accounts. I will need to print off two myself because we have more than 4 accounts, but I don’t like to crowd my forms. Four accounts is all that would fit comfortably, look balanced and still gives you enough room to fill in.

By the way it is editable. But I am especially proud of myself this time around because I was able to take time and fiddle with my new program that allows me to make editable pdfs for you and learn a few things. One feature I wanted as well was the ability to not have to retype information after I saved it. Guess what? I think I figured it out. I always depend on you though for feedback as you use them too. However, the way this feature works is that after you make a change you have to re-save it using another file name. For example, when you download it, it is saved with one name. Then when you fill it out, I believe you have to save it with another file name. Then still with another name if you add more changes.

If you get a chance to play with it, let me know because I have the full adobe program which allows me to do these forms so I need to be sure it’s not playing differently with me because of that. I know I say figuring techy things out is not my first love but I have to admit I do love them occasionally when I find them useful.

I hope all that made sense and you let me know how it works on your end because I will take time to go back and do all the forms with that update added to them. It sure would save us time as we filled them all out.

It’s kind of nice to have the new bee workshops behind me for a break and the co-op done so I can focus on getting some of my projects done. Also you know how much I like to take off the whole month of December so I school right through the summer. I do school somewhat lighter normally, but not this year, I am sticking with a full schedule. There are some changes coming ahead on some other things, but I will save that and tell you about next them month.
